We had a good attendance at the recent meeting so thank you to those who attended or sent apologies. You can download the Powerpoint presentation here. One key theme was evident and this is that parent’s wish to retain a Catholic Grammar school and that we must individually do our bit (petitions, letters, website etc) to raise awareness and concern over Diocese & Slough proposals.
For now, everyone who is receiving our email messages or has registered on this web site has confirmed that they are supporters of the campaign and therefore as a minimum, each one of us should have; - Signed up to the e-petition at http://petitions.number10. gov.uk/stbernards/
- Registered online at www.savestbernards.co.uk
If you have not done this or feel that you do not wish to support the campaign then please email

to let us know. For those that could not make the meeting a number of important documents were issued. The first document is a parent survey. Right click here and choose Save Target As... to download it. Could you complete and return by email or type in your answers if easier. All new parents registering with FaCT will receive one of this so that we can measure support. The second document was the manual petition - click here to download. We want at least each family to generate at least 100 (4 sheets) names on this petition for support of the campaign. If we had 200 families, this would mean 20,000 signatures!! However, with families, work, church, clubs etc or even standing outside Tesco’s in Slough at the week-end, probably 200+ names for each family should be possible. Clearly this is about your child’s future education and that of the children who follow, so do not be embarrassed to ask people to support YOU. This is YOUR opportunity to get involved and really do something for the campaign. These will probably be collected during the middle of January 2009 so if you get 10 signatures each day…you will already have 300 plus to return by then. Finally, a copy of Slough's Education and Children's Scrutiny Panel meeting held on 25/06/08 is available for your perusal. Download it here. There are highlighted sections on pages 3 and 4. If you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact us for further information or assistance - email
