Firstly may we wish you all a somewhat belated Happy New Year.

At the present time there are no updates to communicate regarding activity from either the DCSF, Diocese or School but watch this space!

What we would ask you to undertake is a few New Year 'resolutions' for the benefit of our children:
  • Continue to gather those names on the petition. We will be aiming for these to be collated during February.
  • Encourage family and friends to register with the online e-petition. Give yourself a target to try and get 10 people registered.  Download the petition here - http://www.savestbernards.co.uk/images/stories/pdf/petition.pdf - print it out and get those signatures! We want each family to generate at least 100 (4 sheets) names on this petition for support of the campaign. If we had 200 families, this would mean 20,000 signatures!! However, with families, work, church, clubs etc or even standing outside Tescos in Slough at the weekend, probably 200+ names for each family should be possible.  Clearly this is about your child’s future education and that of the children who follow, so do not be embarrassed to ask people to support YOU. This is YOUR opportunity to get involved and really do something for the campaign.
  • Tell more parents about our campaign and send them the email and website details.  The email address is This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
  • If you find any news, documents or general information of relevance email it to us so we can put it on the website or post it to the message board at http://www.savestbernards.co.uk/community/index.php?board=12.0
  • Have you written to the Bishop? The Head Teacher? Your MP? The Governing Body? It will only take a few minutes to write a few lines to register your concerns and the fact that you oppose the proposal.
  • Have you completed the survey? The form can be downloaded and saved from http://www.savestbernards.co.uk/images/stories/doc/ssbparentsurvey.doc and emailed to the above address.

Please keep up the good work and keep raising the profile. Unfortunately it may appear to be quiet BUT THIS IS NOT GOING AWAY. The Diocese want this to happen and it is up to us all to convince them otherwise.
